Issued on custom labels in a non-finished card picture sleeve and plain inner; initial quantities with a special price sticker on front cover and a foldout picture insert bearing catalogue number V2188. Track A3, A4 recorded on 11th February 1980. Released by arrangement with BBC Records Ltd. Whith thanks to [a64672] ℗ BBC 1980. Mastered at The Townhouse. Track B3 'S.U.S.' recorded live. Track B4 'Babylon's Burning' recorded live. Track B5 'Society' recorded live. Our first single recorded at Fairdeal 8-track studio in Hayes May '78. Originally to be released as an e.p. with a considerably slower version of Society on it til now on Misty's own label People Unite. We included Love In Vain on this record because nobody listened to it as the B-side of Staring At The Rude Boys and in case you didn't hear the A-side.... Produced and engineered (for Dukeslodge Enterprises) at Air and Townhouse Studios February '80. Brass added later. Demolition Dancing/Secret Soldiers.... Taken from the last [url=http://www.discogs.com/release/851831]John Peel session[/url] we did aound February '80. (Thanks to John and the BBC). Produced, engineered on 8-track at Maida Vale Studios. This was the only occasion Secret Soldiers was recorded. West One (Shine On Me)...... The backing track was recorded in a 16-track in Shepherds Bush, but we don't talk about it. The engineer was OK tho'. Overdubs and mixing engineered at the Townhouse. SUS/Babylon's Burning/Society.... Recorded live, CHORUS late 1979. Mixed live onto 2-track, so no overdubs whatsoever.
