| Comments | This CD compilation was free given away with The Big Issue in England to promote Peace Not War festival feb 12-15 2004. Cover art & disc feature iconic cover art by Banksy (the hugely influential British graffiti / modern artist, political activist & film director). His debut movie title ‘Exit through the Gift Shop’ is aptly named, seeing as so much of his work (including this image) has been commercialised. For instance this image appears on t-shirts, posters etc. However not all its uses are for material gain. It was adapted for use on placards in anti-war marches AND this CD raised money for homeless people in London, whilst promoting the anti-war ‘Peace, NOT War Festival’ in February 2004. |
