| Comments | This was intended to be a reissue of the 1969 Pye 623171 release, now pressed by Polydor in the "99" Budget series. The sleeve lists the 12 tracks, the vinyl only had 10 - with "I'm Glad" & "Grown So Ugly" missing. (See images). (The 10-track Marble Arch 'budget' master possibly used). It was quickly repressed, using same cat#. This album is actually Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band's 1st album "Safe As Milk", renamed for this 1970 issue. The album was originally released in 1967. |
