| Comments | - "El Golpe del Pájaro" was based on "Surfin' Bird" by the Trashmen, and was erroneously credited to "Trashmen-La Pole" on this release. Originally, the Trashmen's song was merged based on two songs written and recorded by the doo-wop band The Rivingtons, "The Bird's the Word" and "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow", and when released by the Trashmen, it was credited to the Trashmen's drummer Steve Wahrer, until the Rivingtons threatened legal action to give the credit to the original songwriters. - "El Twist de los Siete Hermanos" is an instrumental arrangement of the song "Lament (Lonesome Polecat)" from the soundtrack of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. - "El Rey del Surfin" is a cover of "King of the Surf", also by the Trashmen. This time, this release erroneously gives the songwriting credit to "Trashmen-Wahrer", when in fact the song was written by Larry LaPole. - "Dona Dona" is an arrangement of a jewish folk song ("Dana Dana"), and was likely based on the french version, "Donna Donna", by Claude François. |
