| Comments | Recorded live at the Flamingo in Las Vegas 'Clarence Ford's great band is in there pitching all of the time, embroidering on Fats' artful phrasing and driving hard behind his intuitive feel for the beat.' Initial version with white Mercury brand on top and 'Vendor: Mercury Record Corporation' at the bottom. There is also a reissue with the successor label, showing the Mercury logos at the rim. Also released in mono, as well as in Canada and the UK. Mentioned at 'New Record Releases' in Billboard 11. Sept. 1965, page 64. |
