| Comments | First US mono release. "Simon & Garfunkel" in white lettering. "Sounds of Silence" in blue on one line underneath. No song listing on front cover and song listing does NOT appear in the box at bottom of back cover. Tiger Beat magazine logo visible in photos on back cover (airbrushed out of most later issues). Track A6 : Early LP pressings show the title of this instrumental, played by Paul Simon, as "Angie" and credit the song to Bert Jansch. From 1968 on, the track title was corrected to "Anji" and the composition credited to Davy Graham. On this version it is spelled as "Angie" on cover and label, incorrectly credited to B. Jansch on the label, and correctly credited on the back cover to Davy Graham. (On Davy Graham's initial 1962 release it was spelled "Angi". On his subsequent releases it's been spelled "Anji".)
