The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. It sold over 2​1⁄2 million copies in the U.S., being certified 2× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America as of July 11, 2007. It won five Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year in February 2007.
