Additional Information

Comments Masque is the thirteenth studio album by Manfred Mann's Earth Band, released in 1987 on Virgin Records. Chris Thompson had left the band after their previous album Criminal Tango and the band was now at three permanent members. After this album the Earth Band name was retired until 1991.

B5 reads "Hymn" on label but "The Hymn" on sleeve.

A2 & B1 co-produced with Hard Times Production.

"Joybringer and the other instrumental themes are based on the instrumental work "The Planets", written by Gustav Holst in 1917. They are not intended to represent Holst's work in any way, but are based loosely on some of the "Planet" themes."

Printed inner sleeve with lyrics, painting & credits.
