Comments New Skin for the Old Ceremony er Leonard Cohens fjerde studioalbum, utgitt i 1974.
Sangene er variert og sparsomt arrangert, skjønt korte til Cohen å være. John Lissauers arrangementer har elementer av blant annet folkemusikk og jazz i seg. I konsertopptredener var sangene gjerne mer utbrodert.

The original artwork of this edition of this LP features an image from the alchemical text Rosarium Philosophorum. The artwork caused a lot of controversy with the US cover being replaced within a few months by a second US cover; a black & white photo of Cohen. In the UK, an alternate version of the artwork (with a wing added to hide the naughty parts) was featured on the initial release.
