Comments The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan er sangeren og låtskriveren Bob Dylans andre studioalbum, utgitt i mai 1963 av Columbia Records.
Til forskjell fra Dylans debutalbum, Bob Dylan, som hadde bare to selvskrevne sanger, hadde Freewheelin' bare to coverlåter, den tradisjonelle «Corrina, Corrina», og «Honey, Just Allow Me One More Chance» — som var gjendiktet av Dylan.[1] Freewheelin'-albumet viste dermed Dylans låtskrivertalent for første gang.[2] Albumet startet med «Blowin' in the Wind», som skulle bli en av Dylans mest kjente sanger. I juli 1963, ble sangen en hit for folk-trioen Peter, Paul & Mary.
The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan nådde nummer 22 i USA (og solgte etterhvert til platina), og gikk senere inn på 1.-plass i Storbritannia i 1965. I 2002 ble albumet utvalgt av Library of Congress til National Recording Registry som ett av 50 innspillinger, og i 2003 ble albumet kåret til nummer 97 på Rolling Stone Magazines liste over tidenes 500 beste album.[3]
