| Comments | From the back cover: A FEW HANDY THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS ALBUM In A Rut/H-Eyes... Our first single recorded at Fairdeal 8-track studio in Hayes May '78. Originally to be released as an e.p. with a considerably slower version of Society on it til now on Misty's own label People Unite. Staring At The Rude Boys/Love In Vain.... We included Love In Vain on this record because nobody listened to it as the B-side of Staring At The Rude Boys and in case you didn't hear the A-side.... Produced and engineered (for Dukeslodge Enterprises) at Air and Townhouse Studios February '80. Brass added later. Demolition Dancing/Secret Soldiers.... Taken from the last John Peel session we did aound February '80. (Thanks to John and the BBC). Produced, engineered on 8-track at Maida Vale Studios. This was the only occasion Secret Soldiers was recorded. West One (Shine On Me)...... The backing track was recorded in a 16-track in Shepherds Bush, but we don't talk about it. The engineer was OK tho'. Overdubs and mixing engineered at the Townhouse. SUS/Babylon's Burning/Society.... Recorded live, CHORUS late 1979. Mixed live onto 2-track, so no overdubs whatsoever. Titles S.U.S. and Secret Soldier used on the record's labels, but SUS and Secret Soldiers used on the back cover. [Catalog#: V2188 of the original release appears in the run-out etchings but nowhere else on the release] From the Virgin Mid-price range, inner sleeve includes a list of albums available in the range. |
