Comment from magazine cutting found in case:

"Tchaikovsky's Liturgy [Op. 41] consists of 15 sections containing responses, litanies, short verses and hymns. [The] notes [presumably provided with the LP issue of this release] imply that the recording offers the 10 pieces which "diverge clearly from the traditional originals in the melodic and harmonic treatment", an explanation that obscures more than it enlightens. Dividing one of Tchaikovsky's numbers into two, the recording actually offers eight of the original sections, and some of those are incomplete.

"The selection entitled "Polielei" ("The Praises") is not from the Liturgy at all, but from the [1882] Vespers [Op. 52]. To add still further to the confusion, the final piece is incorrectly identified as "Hvalite imia Gospodne" ("Praise the Name of the Lord"). Those are the opening words of the previous "Polielei"; the final number is in fact the communion verse, "Hvalite Gospode s nebes" ("Praise the Lord from Heaven"). Monitor gives the same misidentifications, which apparently emanate from Balkanton, the original producer of the recording."
