| Comments | This the first issue of New Year's Day by U2 made in Germany for the European market. However it should be noted that France, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the UK all had their own release. This German made release also re-issued in 1985 and can be found [url=http://www.discogs.com/U2-New-Years-Day-Long-Version/release/1726130]here[/url] in Discogs. The most notable difference between the 2 issues is that this first issue does not have a bar code on the back of the sleeve.
