| Comments | Original 1979 US release. Catalog number appears with hyphen on sleeve and spine, without hyphen on labels. Glossy cardboard matching inner sleeve with b/w photos, red/yellow/blue graphics. Writing credits taken from inner sleeve; they appear with first initials on labels. Recorded at the Power Station, Electric Lady & Media Sound, N.Y. April '79 to June '79. Mixed and Mastered at MCA Whitney Studios, Glendale, California. Some promo copies of this release came with an extra package included for retailers / record stores to promote this album. A folder that contains two 8X10 photos (black & white) and a six page booklet titled "Blondie Travel & Restaurant Guide" that tells a story about Eat The Beat and a poster for an upcoming event that on back states "IMPORTANT! Please Hang In Store," all trademarked by Chrysalis. Some copies may have had gold demonstration stamp on back added by distributor / retailer / record store. |
