Corp. under licensed by MCA Records Inc." John Lennon was scheduled to be in the same studio at the same time and Tom Petty was looking forward to meeting him. The meeting never occurred. John Lennon was murdered before he ever made it into the studio. To pay tribute, the band decided to etch "WE LOVE YOU JL" on master copy of the album.
