On back cover: Dick Nolan knew at a ripe young age that his career would be singing. Singing the music that he loved so much. The Songs that came so naturally to him: down-to-earth Country ballads. Just twelve years after he was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Dick Nolan was singing for enthusiastic audiences. And in 1958, before his twentieth, he moved to Toronto where he quickly became involved in a full-time musical career. For years he was a headliner at the Horseshoe Tavern. Then he moved along to play various centres in the United States, and recorded over a dozen albums as he climbed the ladder of success. This latest recording his first for RCA is the best explanation for the star on Nolan's door. And stars run in his family. Dick and his wife have a daughter, Bonnie Lou, who also has an album on the RCA label. At the tender age of ten she too is a Newfie favorite. So Newfoundland is home for the Nolans now.
